At least you realize fuel cells are a battery alternative, not an engine alternative.
However, why do you see the need for hydrogen generation? Fuel cells work just fine on natural gas.
And if you do support hydrogen, because much of the world's natural gas reserves are in the middle east, why bother with fuel cells? Internal combustion engines can run just fine on hydrogen.
I support the development of any practical advanced energy technologies that free us from (or diminish) our dependence on fossil fuels. I especialy support the development of alternative that result in use of localized (i.e., domeestic) energy sources, halt our fatal entanglement with the islamic world, and thus encourage republicanism, not the New World Order.
At this point, since no PRACTICAL alternatives (i.e., those that can be put into production, perform as well or better than current automobiles, and people can afford, etc.) are available, neither you nor I know the exact details of the technologies. However I believe that such alternatives can be developed within ten years or so if we make them a priority. (There are also ways to develop better gasoline-powered engines that get much better gas mileage, and are not hybrids--people at MIT have such designs.)
Ironically, people like the owner of the hybrid car pictured above are NWO supporters, through and through!!! (That is obviously not true of all hybrid car owners--most hybrid cars I see around here bear NO bumper stickers. Our non-hybrid car also has none.)
