Well, isn't that interesting? Some bozo the other day on another thread was equally certain that the Crucifixion took place on March 25th AD 30. Wouldn't hear differently. My solution? Nobody knows, just pick a date.

As I said, it is an interesting hypothesis, but "God only knows for sure" is true here. If I remember correctly, the website I posted also gave the year 30 AD as a possibility given the correlation between the sabbath and passover during Pilate's reign since it only occurred in 30 and 33 AD. The article goes into other historical events for why he postulated it was 33 AD. That date also happened to have the lunar eclipse at the right time so I am more inclined to believe that date.
