Some of these groups, like this one, go far overboard, IMO. However, the real story here is that his premise about the wussification of Christian men is 100% correct.
For a good read on the subject, I reccommend "Wild at Heart" by John Eldredge.

One more note. While I think Stine takes some things too far, things like this:
His speakers admit to masturbation and adultery. A workshop called "Training the Penis" encourages men to talk openly about temptation and bond with guys who share their struggles.
need to happen. Christian men need to be able to talk about these things among each other and with their pastors and, in that, this fellow is doing a good thing.
The Church has been overly feminized.

The Fathers in the Desert didn't know much about 'Jesus meek and mild', but knew plenty about the Divine Logos who emptied Himself taking the form of a servant. The icon of Christ Pantocrator from St. Catherine Monastery in Sinai doesn't show Our Savior as a feminized wuss:

It also, very cleverly, gives a visual presentation of Orthodox Christology for the unlettered.

really annoys the Washington, DC area feminists.

If you go to Hampton Court in England, there is a mural of a really buff guy (think Ah-nold) getting whipped. Took me several minutes of looking at it to realize that it was Christ being whipped before the crucifixion. Would love to find a good picture of that online.

I'm all for biblical manhood and womanhood(aka complementarianism) and I think that the church has become somewhat overly femenized, but I also think the whole manliness christianity movement is kind of crazy. It's really soul-market driven nonsense whe you get dumb cliche's like. "Do not think Sunday morning worship," Caldwell says. "Think Saturday afternoon tailgate."

Awesome mosaic! Now that's what I'm talkin' 'bout!!
This article reminds me of my poor brother in law. He's been so whipped, my husband doesn't even know him anymore, had to prod him into having a couple beers with him when they met at Taladega, even. I mean, last year he had "sweater vest" on his Christmas list. SWEATER VEST, PEOPLE!!!

If I hear one more "Jesus is My Boyfriend" song in church, I'm gonna puke.

Hear hear. One of the things I like about my church is that while they play some contemporary type music, they also play some older music that's less I, I, I, but more 'God is' and 'God does'.

This is still religion-trying-to-be-cool crap. Religion is NOT cool, it is NOT cool to follow Jesus, it never was and it never will be. "Cool" is following the world. The best way to get men into the church is to give them something to fight against, to rebel from, and "the world" is a very good outlet. Everytime preachers try to act "cool" they just act gay. This is really just as bad as Jesus is my boyfriend music.
(Note to preacher -- talking about masturbation and your penis is NOT cool. It's GAY.)

Stine races through a frenetic stand-up routine, drawing laughs with his rants against liberals, atheists and the politically correct.
Our (Western) House of Freedom is so completely divided into parochial denominations of Jews,Orthodox, Christians, Catholics, Protestants, Lutherans, Methodists, 7th Day Adventists, Mormons, Taoists, Buddhists, Confucionists, Atheists and Agnostics, it will be impossible to mount an army against the drumbeat of Islamofascist nihilists unless we join hands to defeat them. Freedom loving peoples must put aside their inconsequential differences for mutual survival...as did the Jews and Christians in WWII, the results of which have enriched all of us.

One thing I like about my new church and my new choir is that last night they threatened to walk if forced to sing "Ave, ave, Ave Maria; Ave, Ave, Ave Mari-i-a"

If men, and especially boys, do not learn about these issues in the church, they will learn about them in the world. Let's consider the utter disaster that represents for a second.

This is going way too far in the other direction, and it's using hype and appeals to our baser nature rather than inviting the spirit of God. Preach the gospel, the elect will come when they hear the shepherds voice.

I can see how it's a tad crass. Then again so are most men, if we're honest! The elect are the elect, let's not neglect the regular schmoes.

That mosaic is in the dome of the church ... it utterly dominates the nave. You walk in, look up (natural reaction to entering a large space) ... and there's just no doubt Whose house you just entered.
