Opinions of individuals are interesting, but the Church as a whole disposes.I think this reliance on others to think for you is what helped cause the Jewish elites to fail to recognize the Messiah when he stood in front of them.

The Church serves as checks and balances. We don't know why some people recognized Christ and others didn't. The Reformed will tell you because God said so. Then it has nothing to do with individuals or groups, does it?
