After reading Schroeder and the reply you gave on this thread I find I have learned much, however I don't agree with all of it. As he said, "it's obvious that we have to dig deeper to get the information out" and it sounds as if we all have our shovels in our hands.

When Schroder talks abour Rosh Hashana commemorating the creation of the soul of human life, from the creation of the soul of Adam he assumes that was on the 6th day. My reading of Gen.2:7 is that Adam, The Man Adam, was an 8th day creation. All the races, (man-mankind) were created on the 6th day and "created He him; male and female created He them."

Adam was not created but was formed (I don't really know what the difference is but that phrase is there for a reason) and Eve was not brought into being at the same time he was, as those were in 1:27.

In his paragraphs on "Natural history and human history" he states that Nachmanides considers the "days of old" as the 6 days of creation while the "years of many generations" is all the time of Adam forward. I believe the "Days of old" are from the first age of our earth. That was the age in which Satan rebelled and took 1/3 of God's children with him.

I love Schroeder's take on the Six Days and I believe those "days" are represented by the 1,000 years as stated in Psalms and Peter. My problem with that has always been the "morning and evening" if they were not actual days, even Lord's days of 1000 years. I didn't realize that the text stated "day one" instead of "the first day".

In his "What is a day" paragraphs,it was very interesting to see the Talmud explains darkness as black fire, black energy, a kind of energy that is so powerful you can't even see it, or darkness, the absence of light. This light is Christ and God divided light from the darkness, Christ from evil, Satan. He later states that the literal meaning of evening is "there was disorder". That chaos was Satan.

Another thought is that I don't believe the "Sages" should have excluded the six days of creation from the calendar or said that the entire text is parable. As far as reading Genesis 1 with God as the observer, not man - why, as it is written to man.

Please go deeper into why you believe Adam was created in heaven and placed in the garden. It stated that he was formed in the garden and all of our souls are from the spiritual realm, so I don't understand.

Your belief of "Therefore children, in six days, that is in six thousand years, all things shall be accomplished" I also believe. We're there now and only waiting to have all of God's elect sealed. Your comments here help that process.

Now, I'm going to read more Schroeder. I'll never understand the physics but he does write in a manner that promotes understanding - thank you so much for telling me about him.

As to Genesis : Where did Cain and Seth's WIVES come from? God didn't make them, like Adam and Eve, from the dust. So where did THEY come from? Simple answer : Adam and Eve were made/placed in a world already populated with people.

As to "eve", DNA evidence, the known drift rate in mutations thereof, points to a cro-magnon "eve" between 125,000 and 250,000 years ago, as the mother of all people living today.

Also, mitochrondial DNA points to a "bottleneck" of just a few hundred people surviving some great extinction between 70,000 and 80,000 years ago. 74,000 years ago the indonesian SUPERvolcano(15 mi x 15 mi caldera)blew up, creating a 3.5 year long nuclear winter. The human race was almost completely wiped out(like the BIG dinosaurs).

Gen 2:6 briefly describes the .5B year long age(4.4B to 3.9B)between the perturbation-out-of-orbit of the original terran ring system onto the earth's surface by the captured moon, and the first ocean. No, the incoming mars didn't directly hit the earth, and thus slow down(the I-S theory), it "hit" the Roche Lobe, and was torn into 2 parts(comma head and tail).

The head slowed down by less mass(g force)and greater orbital radius, was further rightward deflected, and thus went into a highly elliptical but CAPTURED orbit around terra. It then quickly destroyed the ring system , dumping most of the wet-gravel planetisimals onto the equator; the origin of our later continents/oceans. Tectonic forces then massaged that ring-debris layer for 500,000,000 years, ie, Gen 2:6.

The long tail of mini-moon/asteroids from the equatorial lunar bulge was thrown at high velocity entirely OUT of the terran gravity well, much like the 20 SL9 comet-train fragments in 1994 that first "hit" jupiter's Roche Lobe, then later impacted it directly.

Drop a spinning oil blob onto the eddy of a draining bathtub and you'll see the comma shape for a brief instant.

"So quick to judge, so slow to learn" was how an old black librarian described young blacks. It applies to far more people....esp, those who deny science and its ability to discern TRUTH, from biblical clues.

Thank you so much for your reply and for sharing your musings with us!

Please remember that Schroeder is a Jewish Physicist, so his insights will come from a different aspect than yours or mine.

Also God has given us a lot of "wiggle room" in understanding some Scriptures, particularly prophesy and Creation.

My personal epistemology - how I know what I know and how certain I am that I actually know it - is simply this: my most certain sources for knowledge are the revelations of God the Father in 1) the Person of Jesus Christ, 2) the indwelling Holy Spirit, 3) Scripture and 4) Creation.

Every other source for information is cast in uncertainty – including my own sensory perception and reasoning - and those of my correspondents. I do not value even my own hearing and sight by comparison to the revelations of God the Father. If what I see does not comport with what He said, then it is my sight that is in error, not His words.

Thus I do not value my musings - or those of others - anywhere close to the revelations of God.

So for me, geocentricity was a musing that turned out wrong. Young earth creationism is a musing. Dispensationalism is a musing. Day-age interpretation of Genesis is a musing. And so on.

If however I have a leaning in the Spirit one way or another, I'm happy to say so. That Genesis 1 and 2 are speaking of creation of both the spiritual and physical realms is one such leaning. Scriptural evidence includes the tree of life which is in the middle of the Garden of Eden (Gen 2) and also Paradise (Rev 2.) Likewise, in Gen 2 God declares that He created the seeds before they were in the earth. Genesis 1:1 and Colossians 1 speak to the creation of heaven and earth, spiritual and physical.

That a thousand years is as a day to God also rings very true in the Spirit in the interpretation given at post 8311. IOW, it is not a poetic term but a very specific time table for Adamic man, he has a total of 7,000 years and the last 1,000 is the Sabbath, Christ's millenium reign on earth. On the Christian interpretation of the amount of time the Jews were exiled to Babylon, Christ is due any time now. But there is an approximate 250 year difference with the Jewish interpretation; their calendar is at year 5767.

Then again only God the Father knows the day and hour. Either way, Maranatha, Jesus!

The bottom line is that each of us will develop an understanding of Creation and prophesy in Scripture as the Spirit leads us whether directly or through trusted religious leaders.

The only recommendation I have for you in your seeking is to take a little time to meditate on your own epistemology to determine in advance how much weight you will be giving to the various sources of knowledge.
