Yes, it has been quite a civil and informative thread. It is not that the heavy Protestant participation here has been abusinve, but it follows a tedious pattern. Something about Mary is posted, and we have to slog through dosens of complaints how Catholic mariology is "unbiblical". The response is always the same: show me where Sola Scriptura is biblical. I posted a thread recently addressing the topic head on: On Holy Scripture and Holy Tradition. Please review it, and let us talk specifically about the Nativity such as the Church explains it. It is a given that the scriptural support for these events is scarce.

Given the topic of this thread, you have to admit, it HAD to go in the direction of Mariology. That was the point of the article.

That was why I thought it should be a caucus thread. Pyro asked for protestants to tone down their objections, and that, too, was a reason I thought it should be a caucus thread.

You might have noticed by the results....I'm not in charge. :>)
