That's better-I think. I understand now. The scriptures are inspired by God, Himself, but the Church is free to override what God has said. Okay, if that's your story I'll stick to sola scriptura.

When sola-scriptura involves inumerable different interpretations some of which give us 'churches' that bless gay marriages, ordain gay bishops, promote abortion for the poor, etc. It's clear that even if your allegations are true (that the church has overiden scripture, which I don't buy it has) it's preffereable to every joe schmoe overiding Scripture with his 'personal interpretation'.

And why are women preaching in Protestant churches? Why are they not covered? Please, HD, everyone cuts out that which does not fit a preconceived pattern. No one is sticking to the Bible 100% (mostly because we can't be sure what is really the Bible 100% of the time).
