To me, it appeared that you were saying that he never really BECAME human but just put on a human form

I specifically used the term God the Word and not Incarnate God the Word to leave no doubt as to what I was referring to. You are welcome to check.

It didn't sound like you were asserting His divinity. It sounded like you were denying His humanity

I was merely stating that God the Word, begotten of the Father, is incorporeal. I was not denying Incarnation.

What is God the Word's Current state?

Unchanged, eternal, fully divine and fully human in His natures, each nature being separate, unmixed and unconfused.

Then the tense was the issue (yes, I understand what you meant by the tense; however, it did add to confusion as to what you were saying). There was a point within time where God the Word became God the Word Incarnate. Now, He sits at the right hand of the Father as the Incarnate God the Word. Fully glorified in His humanity and yet fully the unchanging God in His divinity. Two natures, separate and yet United in the one person of the Trinity.
