As to the "Hebrew Fathers", you have yet to give me one such charecter that did condemn the Septuagint.
I didn't say "Septuagint". I said "Dueterocanonicals" and the implications was the inclusion of the Apocrypha.
HD-Do you think the Latin Vulgate is full of Hebrew errors?
jo kus-I do not know, honestly. I have not done much reading into that.
Don't you think that is rather central to this argument. The reason Jerome translated the Latin Vulgate directly from the Hebrew was because of the various Greek translations floating around. The question I have that I can't seem to find, is what text did Jerome use? I suspect that he did not use the Masoretic text but I have no proof and could be wrong. The Masoretic text could have just as equal problems (perhaps more) as the Septuagint. But that doesn't make one superior over another. It gives us insight.
Does our obedience to God "change" His already "pre-disposed Mind?
God has ONE purpose (well probably more) and that is to raise sons. The only reason we are obedient to God is simply because He conforms us into His image. All our successes and failures are lessons He is teaching us.
Is the "hand of God" so short He cannot save? I don't believe I ever made such a comment. Note, there is a difference between what God CAN do and what He DOES.
It's there in your last sentence.

Which only angry west Europeon illiterates ever called 'the apocrypha'.

Which ones? Can you site them? Can you site Jerome referencing them?

God has ONE purpose (well probably more) and that is to raise sons That's a new one. Folks, we have a revelation: God has a purpose! He doesn't 'just' exist; He exists for the sake of His sons!!!
Even before Creation His purpose was to raise sons. From all eternity. Otherwise God's eternal existence would be meaningless, or at least purposeless. God would be wondering "What am I all about? No sons to raise. I feel useless."
