I know I'm flogging a dead horse, but I can't let this go by without my saying that In the Episcopal Church, if you throw the Blessed Sacrament on the ground or feed consecraated hosts to dogs, that is not a matter of Doctrine discipline and worship, despite the clear direction of the rubrics concerning what is to be done to any of tghe sacrament not consumed at the servce.

But if you take REAL ESTATE, then, suddenly, oaths count and will be referred to in episcopal admonitions.

If you guys, O bishops, had cared about your laws when the matter touched on the most sacred things, you would not be having to invoke them now that your purses are at risk.

This, S, is the disfigured, hideous face of heresy and a heretic, stripped of smiles, episcopal benedictions and kind words. See how his soul has been rotted.

Communion with this sort is spiritual death.

The cleric would thereafter be ineligible to earn further credited service towards a pension from the Church Pension Fund and the employing church could not pay pension assessments. (The cleric would be credited for service prior to his removal and upon reaching retirement age, would receive a pension calculated on his credited service in the Episcopal Church.) The cleric, and lay employees of the parish, would no longer participate in the diocesan health insurance plan and the departing parish could not participate in property and casualty insurance plans sponsored by the affiliates of the Church Pension Fund. Potential Personal Liability I am bound, just as you and your vestry members are, to adhere to and to enforce the Church's canon law.

I'm sure that's what everyone is worried about. What's going to happen to my pension? /sarc

...the members of those congregations are cherished members of the Diocese and the Episcopal Church...

The point he doesn't get is that those parishioners no longer cherish what the Diocese or the Episcopal Church have become.

Sounds like somebody at 815 threatened Lee.

He's never been very strong-minded, he'll agree with whoever talked to him last.

That's the opinion of a priest in a continuing Church down here - nice guy who was at either Falls Church or Truro (can't remember which) awhile back. He couldn't stand it any more so he transferred out and wound up down here. Of course it's a very protestant continuing church . . . so it wouldn't do for us. But he's a nice man.

Bishop Lee highlighted that the members of those congregations are cherished members of the Diocese and the Episcopal Church, and that he and the Standing Committee hope they will decide to continue to worship as one, unified family.

Worship what? A man-manufactured androgynous god who winks at all sin (and balks at the very idea of "sin") and who's image is malleable in the hands of any pagan? And what family? The children of Satan?
