It is argued that God's direct revelation was received and experienced by the Apostles and the Apostles taught the first leaders of the Church. What the Apostles taught came to be written down later. The Greek Scriptures express what they believed and were willing to die for. It isn't an "either-or" proposition. Orthodoxy rests on Scripture and the Apostolic Tradition, and do they do not contradict each other.

The Eastern Church never needed a “Reformation” because it never agreed to the innovations of the Latin Church that caused the Protest.

My response to this young American (who was subsequently barred from The Continuum due to his rudeness) is philosophical because that is how the man himself wished to engage the issue of women priests.
