Last week, the Catholic blogosphere was roiling from Episcopal Presiding Bishop Schori's comments in the NYTimes that essentially said that Catholics, as well as Mormons, are ignorant breeders. And that Episcopalians values small families as a means to stewardship and responsibility. Well, I wrote the presiding bishop and received this response from her public relations shill. Dear Dr. Popcak: I am writing to thank you very much for the candid expression of your concern regarding the Presiding Bishops recent interview published in this past Sundays New York Times Magazine. The reality is that media interviews do not always convey the whole nature of a conversation had between interviewee and interviewer. A few paragraphs of text cannot distill with complete accuracy a lengthy conversation.
I can also assure you that the Presiding Bishop does not think other Christians uneducated, ignorant, illiterate, or somehow or otherwise not smart simply because they are not Episcopalian. In fact, Bishop Jefferts Schori has spent her entire ministry trying to reconcile many diverse peoples to each other and to Christ. I think her record on this speaks for itself. A highlight of Bishop Jefferts Schoris investiture at Washington National Cathedral on November 4 was the presence of dozens of ecumenical leaders who came to witness an important milestone in the life of the Episcopal Church, including Roman Catholics. I know that she so very much appreciated her time with them and others who witness to the common mission and ministry we all share as Christians. Please know that this comes with Bishop Jefferts Schoris prayers and best wishes for you and your loved ones as Thanksgiving and Christmas approach.
Very truly yours, Robert B. Goodfellow: Communications Aide/Office of the Presiding Bishop Here's my reply:

I have been trying to find out who that is Roman Catholic or Eastern Orthodox attended her installation, any info?
Do you have a ping to the original statement that the bishopette made about Roman Catholics?
Sounds like Schori is related to Kerry and Rangel. She has that elitist liberal DNA that makes them so much better than others.
