Bishop Jack Leo Iker stressed in his annual address that "Our highest loyalty is not to a denomination, but to the Lord Jesus Christ." Anything else, he said, is "idolatry," adding, "It is troublesome to me when some talk more about why they are an Episcopalian than why they are a Christian."

I'm generally not a believer in the autheticity of the Anglican Churches, but this man's spiritual vision is crystal clear.

Wow! I didn't think Bishop Iker would do it. I know the TEC Church that my Boy Scout unit meets at will not go along, for they are more the liberal leaning.
