You can be prayed into heaven if you're not a mormon, but if you are a morman you take the chance of going to hell. Why would you be a mormon?

How about Hitler - three times.

Can you offer something more about your question? Some background or some quotes from that site?
To: southwilby
Hitler was prayed into heaven or Hitler can pray you into heaven? I don't understand your answer.

Jefferson and Madison and Franklin are telling me in my brain that I told you so, when I read stuff such as this.

Apparently Hitler is in his brain. Or Hitler can be prayed into heaven. Or something...

After seeing your profile and taking a brief look at your posting history, what's the deal, here? You don't seem to me like zotbait.

The kittens are not sleeping. It is "normal" in religion debates (this is now in the Religion Forum) for members of one confession to believe the members of another confession are doomed.
The poster wants to know why anyone would want to be Mormon. There are many Mormons here. Let them clear up any misunderstandings.
But if the thread gets unruly it will be pulled...

I think the chap just had the urge to type "Hitler," just because he could, and see what might ensue.

I hope my levity in this thread was not uncalled for. I figured the poster might be a disruptor.

Okay, since the Religion Moderator has said you're not being zotted, let me be the first to say you're being completely and utterly ridiculous.

"Religion is a subject on which I have ever been most scrupulously reserved. I have considered it as a matter between every man and his Maker in which no other, and far less the public, had a right to intermeddle." --Thomas Jefferson to Richard Rush, 1813.

The thread is garbage and a disgrace. I say that as a near atheist. It was not meant as some intelligent inter faith dialogue out-reach, it was meant to degrade, humiliate and inflame. Your judgment IMO on this one is poor. And what the heck does Hitler have to do with Mormans by the way? He was a pagan, and as one with some sympathy for pagans, gave them a bad name.
Someone should ping the Mormans to this thread in any event.

You should study the mormons. Most people here at FR don't have a clue what they believe.
To: Torie
Your're showing your ignorance.

For all newcomers to the Religion Forum: because the subject matter is sensitive in the extreme, we hold ourselves to a higher standard - the most important guideline is this:
discuss the issues all you want but do not make it personal.
