There has never been a time when the Spouse of Christ was "not particularly "Christian."

Jesus does not have a spouse, yet...It's future...

Besides, if He did, you missed the wedding...

There was the "Wife" of YHWH, whom he will be reunited with. There is also the Bride of Christ.

The wife of YHWH is Israel
The bride of Christ is the Church
