Ugh, makes me ill just hearing it. You've hit it. They just keep repeating over and over, trying to convince us, to make it the new 'truth', so then we have the burden of trying to justify doing what is actually required or requested. Around here, already the criticisms have popped up of Pope Benedict's suggestion to restore the Latin Mass, not replace all Masses with it, but to offer it, have brought out comments about the 'return to the dark days of the Latin Mass'. As though they were truly dark, and as thought Vatican II actually 'outlawed' it. More spin.
