If you believe that God is just "love, love, love" I would suggest rereading scripture. Abraham pleaded with the Lord not to destroy Sodom if 50 righteous men could be found. There wasn't any. The people of Sodom were nasty people and they were indignant that anyone would question their morality. Scripture tells us and it tells us God rained fire down on their heads until the valley became unfit for living.
All people are sinners but that does not stop God from casting His judgment on us. There are degrees of sinful behavior. Sinfulness is progressive and we store God's wrath on us unless we repent like Nineveh. The more sin a person does and gets away with, the more they want to do. As man does more and more sins, he slips into deeper and more vile sinful habits. Ask any pedophile and they'll tell you it started by looking at pictures, insider trader who just took one stock tip, etc.
It is our responsibility to warn people about their behavior-not coddle them. Scripture teaches that some of the very last sinful behavior before God delivers His judgment is homosexuality and lust. God will exact His judgment on all of us-a point to ponder.
