The Fifth Joyous Mystery: The Finding of Our Lord in the Temple
Reflections for each Hail, Mary:
- When Jesus is twelve years old, He goes with His parents to Jerusalem for the feast of the Passover.
- After the feast of the Passover, Joseph and Mary unknowingly set out for Nazareth without Jesus.
- At the end of the first day's journey they discover Jesus is missing.
- His parents return immediately looking for Him.
- This loss causes grief and anxiety beyond our understanding to the hearts of Mary and Joseph.
- On the third day they find Jesus in the Temple among the Doctors who were astonished at His wisdom.
- Mary: "Son, why have you done this to us? Your father and I have been searching for you in sorrow."
- Jesus: "Why did you search for me? Did you not know that I must be about my Father's business?"
- Jesus goes down with them to Nazareth, and is subject to them.
- Mary keeps all these things in her heart.

O, my Jesus...
At the end of the decades:Hail, Holy Queen: HAIL holy Queen, Mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us. And after this our exile show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary. Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen.Closing: O God whose only begotten Son has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life, Grant that we beseech Thee while meditating upon these mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may both imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise, through the same Christ our Lord Amen.
