I think often, they don't.
I think Joel O is probably on exception. There are probably others.
But the Vineyard habit of warehouses . . . has a certain appeal.

I think often, they don't.
That's the problem. There are much higher priorities than the megachurches and the like. All too often they become sunday morning social clubs. The times I've visited them, more often than not after the service is over (usually a very generic service), I hear discussions about their kids' grades or football scores or predictions, who is driving what, what hair stylist they are using, etc. You don't hear people talking about the serious issues that face Christians, and if you bring them up, people get uncomfortable and change the subject.
I'm one of those types that thinks a good shade tree or a 100 year old ramshackle church is just as good as these multi-million dollar behemoths.
