I don't know about "many" supporting "wine and strong drink", but there are verses that speak of being drunk not with wine, but on God.

Isaiah 29:9
Jeremiah 23:9
Ephesians 5:18

The question I was responding to what whether there were other alcoholic drinks besides wine in those days. That's why referred to passages that specified "wine and strong drink" indicating there was other strong drinks.

Regardless of the three cites you mention, there appears to be other passages that refer to other strong drinks than wine.
