Hey! Leave us "Mormons" out of this.
Not my words, but copy-pasted from the original link. You do know though, don't you, that the LDS' doctrine of God puts it outside of historic Christian orthodoxy?
Seriously, the events described in the article have me scratching my head. What are these "Druids" thinking? Do they consider themselves Christians at all?
I suspect not, or not long. Unitarians-Universalists no longer consider themselves Christian. I can't picture many orthodox believers staying or joining the ECUSA, so what's that leave you?
Follow down the link to the apostate Episcopal priest William Melnyk's greetings to the children of Abraham. [shudder]
Of course. And I have participated in many discussions here on the question of who qualifies as a Christian; I do not wish to open that debate again.
I just thought it a stretch to suggest that the various neo-pagans and homosexuals are somehow like Mormons. We Mormons are not be traditional or orthodox Christians, but we consider ourselves Christians nonetheless. We have much more in common with traditional Christians than with Druids, Sodomites, and the like.
