Unleash the Power of the Blog (Revival Bingo at SFO Catholic Church)

A reader from San Francisco writes:

The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence now use Most Holy Redeemer Parish Hall (beneath the church) for their monthly Revival Bingo.

Here's the listing for the next event. (scroll down to graphic)

Here's an article describing the fun, including prizes of porn dvd's and sex toys.

Here's the Sisters' own description with graphics.

And here's some info on "Peaches Christ", guest host for the "Bare Chest Bingo" event on November 2nd. (Read her/his bio, s/he is a direct descendant of Christ)

All to take place in the same building where the Body of Christ is reserved.

The pastor is the chancellor of the archdiocese, Fr. Stephen Meriwether.

In addition to emailing Fr. Meriwether with your well-deserved protests, don't forget to CC Archbishop George Niederauer and Bishop John Wester as well as Bishop Ignatius Wang. There is simply no excuse for this revolting sacrilege.

I hadn't thought of it the way that you did, but I would have to agree. The traditional orders are increasing, while these new age dunces are going by the wayside. It appears that God is still in control.
It does sicken me at the few poor souls that will be led astray by them though. Which level will they be in Dante's inferno?

I'm beginning to think that all "left-wing" priests are also queer.

You're catching on.

Forget contacting the apostate clergy. I suggest we send the information to Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.

This horror goes on too often in our Church. It is an insult to Christ and to His holy mother. I understand that the Church welcomes those who are battling with same sex attraction. Just as we welcome all who need the grace and love of Christ to lead them out of sin.
However endorsing this pro gay sex and anti Catholic group brings the flames of hell licking a little to close for comfort.

See my note above. The head of the Congregation of Doctrine and Faith, Bishop Levada, was the Bishop of San Francisco just before this guy. They, along with Cardinal Mahoney in Los Angeles, all graduated from the same (assumedly) left-wing seminary, and are all close friends. I would not be looking toward the Congragation of Doctrine and Faith to do anything about this situation.

I had forgotten about that. But perhaps now that Msr Leveda is under the eyes of Rome, he may be less likely to turn his back on such travesties.

I had written to the Archdiocese about this event and I've just received a response from them.

The Archediocese says that permission to use Ellard Hall "Should not have been given to the group" and that they have "directed the parish to end the arrangement immediately." The Archdiocese seems to be very well aware of the contempt, ridicule and derision by the SPI has shown towards Catholics in general and Women in Religious communities in particular.
