Here we find an interesting account of events with Paul and his companions:
"So Paul still remained a good while. Then he took leave of the brethren and sailed for Syria, and Priscilla and Aquila were with him. He had his hair cut off at Cenchrea, for he had taken a vow. And he came to Ephesus, and left them there; but he himself entered the synagogue and reasoned with the Jews." (Acts 18:18,19)
Notice how it say that when Paul came to Ephesus, he left Priscilla and Aquila behind, and went to the synagogue alone. Now this is an odd statement if the synagogue was the church, and a legitimate place of Christian worship.
Why would Paul leave his fellow Christians behind while he went into the synagogue if it was a true place of worship?

Why would Paul leave his fellow Christians behind while he went into the synagogue if it was a true place of worship?Because he was a Jew and wanted to worship???? Maybe Priscilla and Aquila had an errand to run or something.
If you notice further down in verses 24-26 Priscilla and Aquila are now in the synagogue listening to a Jew named Apollos....and then invite him to there home after services.
Why are you so adamant about observing the Catholic Sabbath in light of scriptural proof it is wrong?

Hmmmm....I don't quite understand this argument of worshiping on Saturday or Sunday. It seems to me that Jesus did away with worshiping in one set location, on one set day.
Joh 4:20-23 "Our fathers worshiped in this mountain, and you people say that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship." Jesus *said to her, "Woman, believe Me, an hour is coming when neither in this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father. You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews. But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. Rom 12:1 Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.
Seems to me our Lord and Paul is saying that our worship is our service. There is no need for tabernacles, synogues, etc. Paul apparently was teaching people to worship
contrary to what the Law which tells me he was not following the Jewish traditions.
Act 18:12-13 But while Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Jews with one accord rose up against Paul and brought him before the judgment seat, saying, "This man persuades men to worship God contrary to the law."
This doesn't negate believers from coming together, and while worship is a part of coming together it is not the purpose. The purpose of believers coming together is for their edification and to partake of the Lord's Supper:
1Co 11:20 Therefore when you meet together, it is not to eat the Lord's Supper,
I can find no scriptural reference for believers specifically coming together at a set place and time for a ceremonial worship. In fact scriptures indicate our service and dedication to be our worship. This is in line with the Old Testament:
1Sa 15:22-23 Samuel said, "Has the LORD as much delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices As in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of divination, And insubordination is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, He has also rejected you from being king."
