And long dark nights of the soul; fiery furnaces . . . seem to function as quite tolerable mid-wives . . .
Though I'm still not sure how to wrap my mind well around:

The little things in life are silent distractions, trying to convince me I can do this or that on my own. So every day, seemingly all day long, I confront them, confess them and surrender anew.
