As posted about last week, Fr. Daniel McGrath of St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church in Washington has begun a series of sermons on the Ten Commandments. His sermon on the First Commandment, The Decalogue: I am the Lord thy God; thou shalt have no other gods but Me, is well worth reading. Note the application for today that Fr. McGrath gives to this Commandment--quite thought-provoking!

I think many Christians look at the first commandment and they don't think they have a problem. Unfortunately, many Christians pay lip service to the Lord and their real god is something worldly (money, fast car, women, whatever. I could name hundreds of things).
