Excellent post

A minor correction: I don't believe that the 12 Apostles were formally named before the first public miracle of our Lord at the wedding feast at Cana throught the intercession of His mother, although the first ones were called to be disciples. The 12 and their mission came later.

An understandable mistake from an "Everyman" kind of guy;)

You are right. Thanks for the correction.

In St. John's Gospel, Chapter 1, Jesus has gathered with him Simon Peter, Philip and Andrew. And Chapter 2;2 says "Jesus and his discioples had likewise been invited to the celebration." But it is in the 10th chapter of Matthew that the twelve Apostles are named. Interestingly, the Twelve are referred to both as "disciples" and as "apostles".

At any rate, some--if not all---were there at Cana.

Keep after me when I make mistakes :-)

I am always ready to learn.
