I think sometimes we fear theonomy because it is too much the word of God. No. We don't.

Did you fail to read the article? It's all about Christians and Christianity.
You should be arguing with the author, not the reader.

And besides, I thought you evolutionist FReepers only objected to creationism and had no objections whatsoever to the other components of religion. Maybe you're just against religion period, and should admit it.We have objections to theocracy as well. I've no problem with religion. I follow one myself.

Actually, holy wars only came about with monotheism. Polytheistic societies, because they have numerous gods, aren't likely to go to war to prove any one god is better than the others.
Theocracies have existed in non-Christian socieities, and none of them are anything to write home about in their treatment of "others."
And, no, I think the Book of Genesis was composed by Bronze Age goatherders in the Middle East.

If you kill your child for being disrespectful, you will go to jail. And we now, so wisely, can kill an UNBORN child because it's inconvenient and NOT go to jail.
Aren't we noble!

NIV Genesis 4:22
Zillah also had a son, Tubal-Cain, who forged all kinds of tools out of bronze and iron. Tubal-Cain's sister was Naamah.
