Perhaps I'm getting forgetful. But I have it in my noggin that the 'eagle's wings' phrase is about a future END TIMES event. IIRC the flight to Petra.
Some have speculated that it will involve American Aircraft. I'm skeptical of that. I think God is much more likely to do it supernaturally.
I have no trouble, IN THIS CASE seeing 'eagle's wings' as being a metaphor. I think in the blood case, a metaphor is highly unlikely. Seems to me there was mention somewhere of the stench etc.
I don't have a twelve step program to describe my epistemology. I don't think the subject is that complicated. Mine is quite simple. There are two ways of looking at things; man's way and God's way, more specifically Christ's way. Unbelievers suppress the truth and invent their own way of looking at the world. Believers in Jesus Christ are to have the mind of Christ and so we are to bring His Word to bear on every subject. It ain't high-falutin or rocket science.

The passages are different, RDB. "Eagles Wings" is clearly a metaphor.
The waters turning to blood was obviously testimony of a miracle; a miracle necessary to influence the mind of the Egyptians, Israelites, and especially of Pharaoh.
The resurrection is also a miracle. Do you consider that simply a metaphor?
And when I'm asked about you, then I'll speak for myself. And my words were that I DO NOT know you. Your dishonest portrayal of that speaks volumes.
