It's in reference to the Presbyterian Church's vote on new names for the persons of the Trinity...Mother, Child, Womb was one...the official formula for Baptism, IIRC, would remain Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. But in other prayers, there is a list of names that may be used to substitute for the "paternalistic traditional formulation".
The blogosphere made much mirth over it and a lot of blogs joked about the "rock, paper, scissors" thing before Rod Dreher. He's got the name recognition so got the "credit" so to speak.
