Like Douglas says....the Gates of Hades not prevailing means that death will not prevail over Christians. It is not talking about an Organization, a Building or a Theology. He is referring to "Called Out Ones" (Ekklesia)....here rendered "Assembly". Your interpretation is lacking.

I was just posting something along these lines on another thread. In short, the state of Christianity as we know it is the modern day Babylon. As we know, Babylon symbolized confusion. The end time battle is a struggle between worship of Satan and worship of God. How many will the remnant be? How many of us will be willing to purge the idols and keep the Sabbath?

Seriously folks, I've never gotten this "pagan" argument. I mean, if a pagan group uses a symbol, shape, or letter for their religion, and that religion dies out, and another religion comes along and uses similar symbols, shapes, and letters for their religion, but those symbols are directed toward the worship of Christ, then how can it be pagan?

Thank you for your excellent post, the fact that any Catholic would be proud of that obelisk is astounding.

Pointless trying to reason with the Catholic defenders on FR, they don't accept scripture as an autoritative source, any time they get cornered they claim that the Church almighty is the final authority.
