Harley, you entirely miss the point.

The point is that at this time, in that place, that the Jews are there in Israel.

That fact should AT LEAST cause someone to ponder. If there are lines of theology that include Israel being in their land, then they, too, should be reflected upon.

All kinds of things could happen: an asteroid could land smack dab atop of Israel and blow it out of existence. In the meantime, however, the current fact, the real fact, the indisputable fact of their being there cannot be denied.

I agree with you X, it should be ponder. But there is a difference between pondering the events and fitting scriptures into events to sell books. Hal Lindsey had this big theory worked out that the Soviet Union was going to sweep down on Israel. He had plenty of scripture to support his views. It sounded great. And then the Soviet Union disolved. Now it's the Arabs and this time he's right.

There is always a "bad" guy and a "good" guy. That's what sells.
