I got the gist . . . but oh boy do I ever need to get some speaking practice in.

I was exaggerating, of course. I know lots of orthodox Christians who are still in ECUSA, mostly out of inertia, although some are lucky enough to be autonomous (like my parents' parish). Some friends have put out feelers to us about visiting in our new parish . . . others are just putting their fingers in their ears and chanting "La La La - I can't hear you."

You and me both. If it weren't for Seattle's ever-worstening traffic situation, and the slow shift of the center of Seattle's Gaelic-speakers to locales even more remote to us (and ironically more conservative), I'd not be forgetting it so quickly.
