Exactly so and that poster owes ALL Masons, living and dead and all of their extended families a PUBLIC apology! He probably should denounce his American citizenship ( if he is an American ), because this nation was founded by a whole lot of Masons, who also enriched this nation, for centuries. Oh yes, and he should immediately stop using American money, because Masonic symbology abounds on it.

He owes no apology. It is true that many of the Founding Fathers were Masons, and we owe them this nation. But that doesn't change the fact that Masons weren't always a benign organization, even in this country.

Nope. I don't worship the founding fathers. At least the Masons in America didn't follow their foreign counterparts into the innumerable murderous rampages.

My Swedish great-grandfather was a Mason, but it's not my job to judge his or anyone else's souls.

I reject, condemne and anathematize everything Freemasonry stands for.

because Masonic symbology abounds on it. >>

the all seeing eye is not just masonic, it's an ancient symbol used by differnt cultures and religions that have different meanings. I have seen the all seeing eye in Christian Churches. It's symbolic of the Holy Trinity, One God, 3 persons.

As we know, the fish represented the first letters of the phrase: "Jesus Christ Saviour, Son of God" in Greek. The "X" is the first letter of "Christ" in Greek.

The All-Seeing Eye, used in pagan religions and also in modern free-masonry, represents the Holy Trinity (the triangle) in One God, represented by the Divine Eye of the All-Seeing and All-Knowing God.

One can see this symbol used in iconography and one should not hesitate to use it for personal devotion. The fact is that there are many symbols that other religious philosophies have in common with Christianity, but with different meanings attached to them.

If Christians were to get rid of any of their cherished symbols only because other non-Christian paths used them, we would soon have NO symbols to speak of!
