Dear Anglican Adventurers,

The next date for the Episcopal Witness program is August 11
[evening] and 12 [day] in Greenville, SC.  Since people attend from
other dioceses I'm forwarding this information to you.

I believe they can only take 30 people, and that there are several
slots left.  If you are interested, please send an email to
rebeccare@aol.com with the subject heading of "Episcopal Witness".

This is a great program established by Episcopalian Bill Boniface
[who wrote the famous "Letter of a Senior Warden" to his Parish and
who wrote "Leaving the Shire"] and sponsored by the AAC.  The program
teaches laypeople how to visit other parishes -- not their own
parishes -- and converse with and educate laypeople in those other
parishes about the issues confronting Episcopalians.

Bill thinks like the salesperson he once was -- he does not believe
that one reaches the majority of "customers" through the Internet or
through big events, but through face-to-face interaction.  He takes
the same approach in interacting with Episcopalians.

This program is not only helpful in learning how to hold
conversations with "moderates" and the uninformed or inactive
orthodox layperson, but it establishes connections with those who are
in isolated parishes, and helps them get connected with other
laypeople and other organizations.

DATE: August 11 evening time from 6 p.m. and August 12 [from 8:15
a.m. to 4:45 p.m.]  The location is Greenville, SC.

COST: Free
Supper on Friday night, breakfast and lunch on Saturday are provided
at NO COST

please let me know and I will promptly take your name off the list.]
