We don't "practice" Christianity. I remember asking a Japanese Baptist (no really) what religion her parents were and she said, "They practice Tea." I'm all over the tea ceremony. I'm also all over Zen meditation.
But Jesus said He is THE way, not A way. The new PB needed to say that IHS is THE Lord, not A Lord. THEN she could say He's very merciful and "not a tame lion" and the rest of it.
