The Bishop of the Koforidua Diocese of the Anglican Church, Rt Rev Francis Benjamin Quashie, has condemned the Episcopal Anglican Church of the U.S.A. and the Anglican Church in some parts of Canada for approving same sex relationships in the church.
He said Christians had the responsibility to condemn such teachings and vigorously defend the truth as taught by the Bible.
Rt. Rev. Quashie was speaking at the launch of the Silver Jubilee celebration of the establishment of the Koforidua Diocese of the Anglican Church at the St. Peter's Anglican Cathedral at Koforidua.
"Our faith teaches us to condemn the wrong and remain dignified people even in poverty," he said.
Rt Rev. Quashie told the congregation that the blessings of God carry the responsibility to ensure that their faith be passed on to the next generation without adulteration.
He advised Christians not to confine their services to their church building alone but to demonstrate their faith by influencing society along a positive course.
Rt. Rev. Quashie paid tribute to the first Bishop of the Diocese, Archbishop Robert Garshong Allotey Okine (RTD) and people who played various roles in the Diocese over the past 25 years.
He said as the church celebrated its silver jubilee it must aim at building a "self-propagating, self-supporting, disciplined and pragmatic evangelistic Diocese."
Traditional Anglican ping, continued in memory of its founder Arlin Adams. There can be no true blessing of an openly sinful relationship.
This "church" is a sham.

FYI...The Bishop of the Koforidua Diocese of the Anglican Church, Rt Rev Francis Benjamin Quashie, is located in the West African country of Ghana & is a member of CAPA. He would have been present at the recent CAPA Synod with ++Akinola, etal. that yielded a rather stinging rebuke to ECUSA & the suggestion that the African bishops may eschew Lameth '08 or change the venue from ABC Rowan Williams' digs to someplace in Africa.
