It almost sounds as if Pope Benedict XVI is preparing the Vatican's equivalent of a supreme court to uphold the coming excommunications of those nominal "Catholics" who publicly support the murder of innocent children:

Cardinal Burke should be ideal for serving in this important position.

The three nominations are quite interesting...the Prefect for Catholic Education (seminaries anyone?) and two archbishops of countries that are front and center in the homosex marriage debate. And the Pope annnounced the nominations right before leaving for Valencia.
