"The biggest surprise to me is that we were able to get away with it for so long," BAG President Wayne Mailer said in a signed confession included in the report. "I mean, seriously, Christians were actually giving money to keep this channel on the air! It was unbelievable."

How reliable is this 'Holy Observer'? I can't find anything liek this in mainstream news sources.

TBN does accomplish the alleged "goal", but it's just a joke site.

Volume 1, number 1. I'm gonna guess it's another parody site.
To: Alex Murphy
There are a couple of shows on TBN that I can actually watch. The Coral Ridge Hour and The Kirk Cameron/Ray Comfort Show (Way of the Masters) come to mind.

It would be funny if it didn't hit so close to home...

I fixed it.

"This is totally whack," echoed Christian music artist Carman, another TBN regular. "Anyone who would carry on something like this for so long needs a check up from the neck up. What the dilly? ROTFLMBO!!!!

You're correct. Some people just claim to be Christians and defame the faith by making ridiculous statements, thereby creating the perception that Christians endorse their idiocy.

I do not doubt the sincerity of many of the really weird preachers on TBN. But their hair! What is with the hair?

Not familiar with Coral Ridge, but it's always surprised me that Ray & Kirk associate with TBN.

Check out the link. There are additional articles on mp3 "backstreaming" (so today's teens can find the subliminal messages in music), constipation rates amongst Baptists, and faux church signs. Hilarious. Irreverent, but hilarious.
