Actually, Jews and Fundamentalist Protestants are the two peoples for whom Mary has no appeal whatsoever, but thank you anyway for be willing to consider the possible truth in my words.

Yes ... I am well aware of how the mention of the Mother of God, makes the shackles stand up on the backs of Evangelicals. As for the Jews, however, Mary was a Jew which, according to the Jewish faith, makes Jesus a Jew. ALL of the Apostles were Jews. If anyone could hold great appeal for the Jews, surely it would be Mariyam.

During the spring of 1987, a Jew by the name of Roy Schoeman, educated by some of the top rabbis in this country, took a few days off from work at Harvard University, and went to Cape Cod to spend time in the nature there. He was walking in the early morning, in the woods just back from the beach, when God intervened, dramatically and distinctly, into his life to pull him back and put him onto the right path. As he was walking, lost in his thoughts, he found himself in the immediate presence of God. It is as though he "fell into Heaven." Everything changed from one moment to the next, but in such a smooth and subtle way that he was not aware of any discontinuity. He felt himself in the immediate presence of God. He was aware of His infinite exaltedness, and of His infinite and personal love for him.

Schoeman saw that the meaning and purpose of his life was to worship and serve his Lord and Master, in whose presence he found himself. He wanted to know His name, so that he could worship Him properly, so that he could follow "His" religion. He remembers silently praying "Tell me your name. I don't mind if You're Apollo, and I have to become a Roman pagan. I don't mind if You're Krishna, and I have to become a Hindu. I don't mind if You're Buddha, and I have to become a Buddhist. As long as You're not Christ, and I have to become a Christian!" But God did not reveal His name to him.

Every night before going to sleep he would repeat that prayer. A year to the day after the initial experience, he went to sleep after saying that prayer, and felt as though he was woken by a gentle hand on his shoulder, and escorted to a room where he was left alone with the most beautiful young woman he could imagine. Even as a Jew, he recognized her as the Blessed Mother Mary. What happened next is simply miraculous.
