You nailed it! Last time I visited my parent's old church that was exactly the situation. The Sunday school was gone! Although it is a ELCA church, a woman Episcopal minister was conducting the service (joint communion). I was there for my mother's memorial service. It was doubly sad because that church had departed as certainly as she had.

I feel sorry for the older people in the still reasonably Christian Anglican & Episcopalian Parishes out in the hinterland.
Many aren't about to leave Churches they've devoted their whole lives to building by gathering in money nickle by dime through bake sales, etc. only to now have it siphoned off to an urban 'head office' where it's being blown - so to speak - on floats in "Pride Day" parades ... and likely much worse.

Beyond all of their theological sins, apostate Church leaders also stand guilty of openly defrauding the elderly.
