...are there really only 1 million Episcopalians? Out of 300 million people?
Just asking...

The latest estimates actually have membership down in the 800K area. To say '1 million Episcopalians' is to be polite.
I am a Continuing Anglican and this news makes me shudder. Not that I did not expect it, but that I must now contend with the local Episcopal parish's attempts to justify it.
However, this is a great prophetic moment, as are all horrible events in the life of the Church. Those of us who stand against revisionist theology now have a platform from which to state what Scripture says and how the Fathers have defined the Faith and show what wilfull people can do with it, when they decide they personally know better what is the Word of God than the entire Church down 20 centuries and in the face of prayerful admonition against their acts.
May God have mercy on their wayward souls.
I believe there are about two million+ actual members of the ECUSA, with something less than 800,000 in church on any given Sunday. And about 25% of the membership are over 65 years of age.
