I have seen Spong few times and I couldn't tell he as a Christian!!

I count myself fortunate to have never met the man -- but I am very disappointed in having had a very good friend (now with the Lord, I do pray), who was a liberal British Anglican and who held Spong in some regard.

It's difficult to discern if he believes in God or not.

Unfortunately, the ECUSA sowed the seeds of its own destruction when it not only failed to discipline Spong, it praised him. He and his ilk have been like termites chewing away at the foundations of the house.
