For the disciples and others to whom Jesus appeared after His resurrection it was not a matter of faith. They were eyewitnesses who didn't have to take on faith what someone else told them about Jesus. They were transformed by the experience and spread the teaching throughout the Greco-Roman world. Today's believers acknowledge the Resurrection by faith, but it is encouraging that the historical facts support the belief.

I have no doubt, that to an eyewitness it would not be a matter of faith. I just question the validity of the reports, and as you said, today's believers acknowledge the resurrection by faith. Thank you for such an honest answer.
