Please remember to pray for our military. Between dealing with the enemy overseas, and the enemies of the military at home, they need our prayers and good wishes and support. Epecially remember those who are being unfairly impacted by the recent press scandal mongering.

Please pray for all those touched by the earthquake in Java. Over 4000 people have perished.

Awestruck reports that her eldest daughter has a promising interview today, at a local retirement home.. please pray that she gets (and keeps)the job.

Update on LadyX fro WVNan: Received a call from Mr. LadyX. Says Maggie is doing GREAT! She can lift her left arm and move her fingers now. She also sitting up for an extended length of time. She said they gave her a bath at 3:00 a.m. this morning. She liked that. She hasn't been able to sleep for long stretches for some time now due to the dialysis. So it was a treat to have someone who was also awake there to give her a bath. Her husband says that she appears to really be on the road to recovery. Her color is good and so is her appetite. Praise God for answered prayer. Thank you Lord.

Army MP Retired reports this update: Friends - a quick update on my Anita. Yesterday, her doctor advised us that the pathology lab in Bethesda MD who double checked her biopsy was inconclusive about the type of cancer she has. She was originally scheduled to have the tumor and all the surrounding lymph nodes surgically removed today. As a result of the pathology inconclusiveness, she elected to have only the tumor removed at this point. The tissue will be sent to Bethesda for further pathology and it will take about a week to get the report back. So, there is a possibility that the cancer is not invasive... The surgery today went just fine. She is in some pain, but is resting as comfortable as possible. Your prayers have been instrumental - we are ever so grateful. I will keep you posted

from unionblue83 Baby Kendall had open-heart surgery to correct what is known as PDA after birth. The surgery was scheduled for this past Tuesday and went forward on schedule. Due to some complications (heart spasms), they had to leave the chest "open"; they did not close the incision completely until yesterday. Obviously, infection is a big concern now and she is not completely out of the woods, so to speak. Thank you for all of your prayers and support

A friend of mine is dealing with a potentially threatening situation and would like to be lifted up in prayer. Sally'sConcerns posts: "Update: I'll be having surgery on June 28th on 2 different locations on my digestive tract. I'll be in the hospital for a minimum of 7 days. The additional testing I've undergone shows the initial surgery to correct the perforated ulcer was done incorrectly, part of the initial ulcer is still there and there is extensive scar tissue which shouldn't be there. I have precancerous lesions in my esophagus which will not be cured by surgery so I'll have to be monitored every 3 months by having a camera inserted down my esophagus and stomach. They will remove 60% of my stomach which will leave me open to hypoglycemia. Also, I'll have a feeding tube inserted during surgery which will remain until my physician is satisfied my stomach is capable of handling regular food. The feeding tube is required as I'm already somewhat underweight and they feel I need additional nutrition. The feeding tube will remain in my stomach even after I'm released from the hospital.

My sister has undergone more testing and while a definitive diagnosis for ovarian cancer hasn't been made, she has been referred to an oncologist-gynecologist. She does undergo surgery on June 6th to remove a precancerous tumor in her breast. If I'm able to access my computer I'll keep everyone updated on my sister.Thanks to everyone for keeping us in your prayers.

Update on Big Frank: THE LORD BROUGHT BIG FRANK THOUGH THE INVESTIGATIVE SURGERY WELL.PATHOLOGY REPORTS WILL BE COMPLETE IN 5 DAYS. PLEASE KEEP PRAYING FOR HEALING,BENIGN BIOPSY RESULTS,AND FOR STRENGTH FOR FRANK AND FAMILY.

BearWash asks: Prayers Requested for a casual friend who I just found out died. I am a little shook up."Tonya" was the mother of a four-year old who attended Head Start with one of our granddaughters. She had many medical problems all along but was an incredible superhero to her son Jordan. He really loves her. I imagine the boy is with his grandparents.

She has started chemo, and BlackbirdSST tells us: "While the diagnosis on my wife is still pretty grim, she/we are fighting tooth and nail. We are lucky in the sense that we moved to an area (Billings, MT), that has one of the most highly rated Cancer Centers in the Nation. We had no idea. These people are GREAT! She is participating in a treatment clinical trial and study group, and she is recieving the most advanced Chemo treatments known (Avastin)and some others, whose name escapes me at the moment. "

Please remember a friend of mine who is having a really rough time financially as she struggles to raise her children. Please join me in praying that her financial troubles will resolve in a way that lets her meet her needs and take care of her family, that the doors open that she needs to do this, and that she can find peace of mind while dealing with this difficult time

"I spoke to Tom this afternoon. ZM is holding her own, still recovering from the removal of several tumors and a portion of one of her lungs. The doctors are trying to enrich her health to withstand the chemotherapy that is to come. She is unable to talk or chat on the computer right now due to the pain of the operation and as her body adapts to having the partial lungectomy (sp?). She's still in good spirits, and thanks all of you for the prayers and wonderful thoughts the last couple of months. Thank for for continuing to keep her in your prayers and in your hearts"

Please pray for a friend of mine who is having a flareup of a chronic condition she has.
HoustonCurmudgeon sends out this prayer emergency: "My wife's younger sister Denise, had breast cancer 3 or 4 years ago. It returned two years ago as bone cancer that was found when her arm snapped at the gym. She has been sick for a year with the new Chemo and radiation. This week the doctors found a brain tumor and now she is headed for the emergency room and it appears her leg has broken. She is a fine Texas lady and has raised a step son and two of her own children, all to adulthood. "

No change in C.C. still running fever all night and so far today too. We had a cat scan done last night and an ultrasound this morning and Infectious disease was consulting to come see her today. Thank you for her continuous prayers

prayers up for that poor child.

I once had a fairly high fever for 6 weeks (a bad case of mono), and without all the other problems she has, I know the fever is bad enough.

Lord, look down on this young woman-child and have mercy on her, and on her family and those that love her, and touch them all with your peace.

Amen.

This is a note from Joshua's parents Sondra & Wendal: WELL, IT IS WITH VERY HEAVY HEARTS THAT WE UPDATE. OUR DEAR LITTLE JOSHUA PASSED AWAY MONDAY AFTERNOON AT 1PM. THE DOCTORS FEEL LIKE HE HAD ANOTHER INFECTION AND HE WAS JUST TO WEAK TO FIGHT IT. HE WENT VERY PEACEFULLY WHILE I WAS HOLDING HIM IN MY ARMS. WE ARE SAD AND IT WAS VERY HARD TO COME BACK HOME WITHOUT HIM BUT IT IS A COMFORT TO KNOW THAT HE IS WITH JESUS NOW.
