I think his point was that you were mistaken Judiasm doesn't "exclude" Christians, or any other monotheists from the world to come. Non-Jews are bound by the Covenant of Noah. A couple links, but as a Christian if you can handle the Ten Commandments, you're fine.

Within Judaism it is a matter of debate whether all Christians should be considered Noahides. The strict view is that Christian theology is considered avodah zarah (loosely translated as "idolatry") for all people, both Jew and gentile, as it subscribes to the Trinity. Therefore most Christians could not be considered Noahides. However, Unitarian Christians and other followers of Jesus who do not believe that Jesus is God would still be considered Noahides.

I would like to agree, but it appears I would need to be a Universalist/Unitarian to be "saved" then.

Oh no, we're all doomed!:)

I don't know any Christian that hasn't broken at least one Commandment, but we know we have to repent and try to do better.

About the ten Booms, they lived their Christian faith by aiding as many Dutch Jews as possible and never tried at all to convert even one. They did it out of love for the children of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. That's the standard that's being held up: If a situation arises where Jews are being persecuted for simply being Jews, there's no excuse for Christians to be cowards and not help them.

BTW, trying to proselyte a Jew is well known as the quickest way in the world to antagonize one. The only thing to do is try to act like real Christians for a change and surprise the fire out of them.:)
