Then why on earth would you pick the KJV as being "the Bible". It was authorized by him.

At the request of clergy, he commissioned the effort.

He had no hand in the translation itself.

I assume you know that the scholars who worked on the Bible and the text they used are considered the finest the world has ever known.

No man worked as an island on that project. No man was his own final authority on what the text "really meant."

If the translators were not in total agreement, they went no further until they were, through seeking the Lord's face, in prayer and fasting.
