Hate?
What kind of a screed is that?
And I am not interested in rock music.

It's a STUPID post, arbitrary and absurd. It's like a case-study in inane Bible-fumbling. As if what David had in mind was Tyndale, etc. Many men have been chosen many times; there was nothing special about the King James men -- and odds are you don't even use their translation (the 1611 edition).
This is a fool's argument.

you all to DocRoc's great post."
There, you almost have it. Just substitute (') for the ou and you have y'all. Now that's not hard. Next we'll learn how to cook good 25 minute grits, with real cream and real butter.

Right, it was osmosis. I married a Texas lady while at Baylor. Now as to "what happened", I see Nina got it but did they shoot Kim? Please tell me they did so I don't have to listen to my wife yell, "don't shoot him, shoot the daughter" any more.
To: BibChr
BTW, when you put your translation methods to the same test that the translators of the AV did, then I might give you a hearing.

Is that a secret code for a major attack? President Palmer used one of those codes on a broadcast.

Do you have anything substantive to support this position?
"It's like a case-study in inane Bible-fumbling."
I'm so stupid, this doesn't even make sense to me.
"As if what David had in mind was Tyndale, etc."
Well, maybe we have a glimmer of where we differ. You see, I don't think along the lines of what David had in mind, but rather what God had in mind to write through David.
"Many men have been chosen many times; there was nothing special about the King James men"
William Bedwell, Thomas Holland, John Boys, Lancelot Andrews, Miles Smith, George Abbott and John Rainolds were not special? Out of the 54 men selected, four were college presidents, six were bishops, five were University deans, thirty were Ph.D.s, 39 had Master of Arts Degrees, forty-one were University professors, thirteen were highly skilled Hebrew scholars, ten were highly skilled Greek scholars and three were eastern linguists who were fluent in Arabic as well as English. All 54 believed in the inspiration of the Scriptures and the Deity of Christ.
"and odds are you don't even use their translation (the 1611 edition)."
What does that have to do with this discussion?
"This is a fool's argument."
I disagree.

Heh, heh, I see the secret code works and the little umlaut swam right up on top of the "Y". Now when you think you'e safe those little buggers will multiply just like shmoos, all over the screen. Heh, heh.

"The King James Bible was published in the year Shakespeare began work on his last play, The Tempest. Both the play and the Bible are masterpieces of English, but there is one crucial difference between them. Whereas Shakespeare ransacked the lexicon, the King James Bible employs a bare 8000 wordsGods teaching in homely English for everyman."

Sec. of Defense Heller and Audry have been rescued and Marianne looks like she is another spy. I'm firmly of the opinion that every year they should purge the CTU of all operatives except Jack and Chloe. Shoot the daughter!
To: Full Court
So, you are agreeing that Shakespeare needs to be translated?
