However, I fail to find any qualifications of the baptizer in the New Testament, and that is what matters. What matters - that there (theoretically) aren't any qualifications found in the NT, or what you personally believe/conclude, based on the omission?

If there are no qualifications for the baptizer found in the New Testament, then adding qualifications would be adding to the Word of God, which is wrong.
