"Regardless of the messenger, Billy Graham thinks you can get to heaven by being a good Muslim or a good Buddhist."

Do you have something current to prove that with?

I am curious why that would be considered unBiblical per se:

For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. – Romans 9:15

IOW, seems to me that the deciding condemnation is rejecting the Holy Spirit's call to Christ (He is the Way the Truth and the Life). Those who have never rejected Him - perhaps never heard the Gospel while in the flesh (Abraham, Isaac, unborn children, handicapped, primitives) are at His mercy according to the above.

Anyway, that is the Spiritual discernment I have on the subject.

If I remember correctly, there is a Larry King Live interview transcript that is relatively recent. It's not the June 26, 2005 interview. In that one he says many things I would question, but it's not as bad as the other. He does say that he preaches only about God's love and forgiveness, and doesn't want to even comment on whether some sins are sin or not (homosexuality). He is a man who cannot take a stand. He's no Daniel or Paul, that's for sure. Oh, and he goes on about how close he is with the Mormons.

If you are asking me to get a statement from him dated last week, I can't. I didn't believe it at first either, but from what I have read from several sources (some firsthand interviews), his beliefs changed over the years. As he grew in ecumenism, he widened the gate to heaven.

Ecumenism is appropriate in politics because doctrine is not relevant. But over and over again it compromises ministers because they tend to sell out truth for approval. Don't get me wrong, I believe in the unity of all believers. But how you define believer is very important. And you cannot separate doctrine from the gospel. It's impossible. Graham clearly states that he is called to preach only some truths -- the easy and comfortable ones.
