SPECIAL NOTICE
After much prayer, reflection, and conversation, my Franciscan brothers and I decided that the Tridentine Mass will no longer be celebrated at Saint Rose of Lima. This will begin effective May 15th, 2006. The Mother's Day First Communion liturgy will be the last Tridentine Liturgy at St. Rose's for the forseeable future. The celebration of Tridentine masses in the Diocese of Cleveland, according to the Bishop, has always been at the Pastor's discretion: no church has ever been designated officially as a Tridentine Rite church.
This difficult decision has not been made lightly, or without great consideration of the past eight years of St. Rose history. It is my hope that those who wish to remain and commit themselves to enlivening a rebirth of St. Rose will do so. Those faithful who cherish and hold dear the Tridentine Mass are most welcome at Immaculate Conception of Mary Catholic Church.
Wishing you peace and all good,
Fr. Tony Posada, O.F.M.
Fr. Bill Rooney, O.F.M.

Pastoral team?? Isn't that precious. Like St. John Chrysostum said - hell, Bishop's skulls, paved, etc.
"It is my hope that those who wish to remain and commit themselves to enlivening a rebirth of St. Rose will do so."
I think we're all familiar enough with wreck-o-vator code by now. "Re-birth" usually means the introduction of the horribly misused "spirit of Vatican II" which is inevitably the coup de gras rather than a parish re-birth. This hunch is supported by the fact that you do not have a pastor but a "pastoral team" or team ministry, to give it a popular label.
What this means in practice is weird and whacky liturgies, combined with the "social gospel".
It won't be pretty.
